Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport

The new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is essentially the Grand Sport variant turned up to '11'. The French super car is powered by an incredibly advanced and large engine with otherworldly levels of performance, wears special aerodynamics that help keep it grounded at speeds over 200 mph, features forged 3 piece wheels for better grip, and has a lavish interior with the highest quality materials. All this can be had for over $2 million and be customized to suit any specific tastes.

At the heart of the new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, and what helps make it the fastest roadster in the world, is an 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged, W-16 engine. All 16 cylinders are fed fuel and air thanks to four turbochargers that are larger than its Grand Sport sibling. Special intercoolers and piping help keep all four turbochargers cool during maximum boost and the exhaust system has been revised to reduce backpressure as much as possible. These upgrades, along with reinforced transmission and drivetrain components, create a whopping 1,200 horsepower at 6,400 RPM and 1,500 Nm from 3,000 to 5,000 RPM. Even with the extra power, Bugatti engineers were able to reduce fuel consumption and emissions for the super car.

All of the horsepower created by the 8.0-liter engine is sent through a modified seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with lightning-fast shift changes to each of the four 3 piece wheels for ultimate traction and grip. The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 410 km/h, making it the fastest drop-top convertible roadster ever produced. With the top removed, the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is still incredibly fast, achieving a top speed of 200 km/h.

Bugatti also installed a number of other upgrades on the high-powered roadster variant. A new front splitter helps to redirect air towards the larger air intakes in the bumper and also increases downforce at higher speeds for improved stability. Each of the two air intakes that sit atop the engine were widened and also double as a roll-over safety feature to prevent injuries. The standard wheel and tire combination was replaced with lightweight aluminum alloy 3 piece wheels with special finishes to match the wide variety of exterior color combinations. For comfort while driving with the top down, a new windscreen spoiler can be fitted to calm the airflow around the cabin and reduce wind noise.

Apart from all of the spoilers, 3 piece wheels, and upgraded aerodynamics, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is still a super-luxury car. The interior can be outfitted with a wide range of soft leather that is hand stitched in France at the Bugatti factory. New knee pads are used in the center tunnel area to prevent discomfort and a special "EB" logo is featured in the backrest of the center console. High-quality carbon fiber, magnesium, and aluminum alloy are used throughout the cabin to create a sense of power and dramatic luxury.
